Theory of confined high Tc superconductivity in monovalent metals

چکیده
Monovalent nontransition metals are robust Fermi liquids. They defy superconductivity even at lowest temperatures (Li is a minor exception: [Formula: see text] mK). However, Thapa, Pandey, Ghosh and collaborators 8 have reported, from 2018, signals for transient unstable granular ambient in Ag nanoparticles embedded Au matrix. We develop theory, where competing superconducing, CDW SDW orders lose get confined (go off-shell). leave behind liquid on-shell. A single half filled band crossing the level provides number of special k-space regions singlet stabilizing umklapp pair scattering repulsive scattering. Carefully designed perturbations could deconfine superconductivity. suggest that electron transfer (doping) to matrix (with higher electronegativity), quasi 2D structural reconstructions (e.g., 9R structure), electronically decoupled patches 1D segments expose Beneath calm sea, strong supercurrents may exist several metals.

Perturbation Theory of High-Tc Superconductivity in Iron Pnictides
High-transition-temperature superconductivity discovered recently in iron pnictides is analyzed within a perturbation theory. Specifically, the probable pairing symmetry, the doping dependence of the transition temperature and a pairing mechanism etc. are studied by solving the Eliashberg equation for many-band(2and 5-band) Hubbard models with realistic electronic structures. The effective pair...

I briefly review several key issues in understanding the cuprate superconductors from the point of view of doped-Mott-insulator. Then I present an effective low-energy theory and show that the phase diagram of such a model includes an anti-ferromagnetic (AF) phase, a superconducting state, and a pseudogap phase at low doping and low temperature, consistent with the experimental one. The dual to...
